The Betty White phenomenon. What are the chances that an 88-year-old woman would get a two-book deal to write her memoirs? Have the most popular Super Bowl commercial? Launch her own line of hoodies and T-shirts? Play beer pong with Jimmy Fallon and be the beneficiary of a social media campaign to have her host Saturday Night Live? Never happen, right? Betty White has done all that proving that cool can be ageless and that all of us are capable of laughing at ourselves and doing “the impossible.”

Boy, I'm feeling tired today. End of a busy week. Only five hours of sleep last night. I'll catch up on sleep tomorrow. Too much to do today. You know how that feels, right?

Call it the rise and gall of stunt food. Today, in the midst of the Great Recession, Americans are infatuated with...stunt food. From the KFC Double Down to the Denny's Fried Cheese Melt, Americans' love of fatty foods and urge for escapism have congealed in we-dare-you meals that would infarct a bull elephant. Why these menu items? Why now? And can a fast-food chain compete without them? I'm looking for food, marketing and franchise experts, including franchise owners, to get the answers. AllBusiness.com is an online media company that operates one of the premier business sites on the Web. The site offers a variety of resources, including how-to articles, expert advice, blogs, business news, and more.

Freelance writer for a business magazine is seeking sources who can talk about whether or not a bubble is forming in connection with superangel investments and sources who can provide interesting insights into the phenomenon. So-called 'superangel' funding has supplanted traditional VC funding in the beginning rounds, and appears to be growing rapidly, especially now that start-ups, many Web-based products and services, don't need as much capital to evolve into the exit stage.
